About Yupness? (And Me)
Welcome
to Yupness?. This is the place where I freely express my views on
whatever goes on in my life as a Patriotic, Christian, American male.
My name is Camden. (I choose to withhold my last name and
any other personal information about me, (for personal and other
reasons), other than my email addresses, and IM information; so
visitors can leave their comments and opinions about what they might
read on my blog, since I don't use any of those complicated trackbacks,
WordPress, or any of this other complicated mess found on most other
blogs). (I don't even use a complicated HTML editor to compose
this). I am the man behind this random venting of my life's
musings. I enjoy blogging, because it allows me to exercise my
First Amendment right to express myself freely when it comes to my
random opinions, gripes, and musings concerning life, faith, and
myself; and how it all fits in to whatever is going on in the world
around me, and on the news. I recommend you bookmark the home
page in your browser's "favorites", because you never know what you
might read that might be of current and/or future interest. You
may be wondering just how I came up with the title of "Yupness?".
For me, it's just one of those general, all-purpose buzzwords
that goes with just about anything; and basically means that I am in
agreement with you or whatever is going on; or it might mean just a
simple "Yes" in my own special way. A lot of my family and
friends are still trying to figure that out.
Now, a lot of the newer readers to my blog may be wondering why I use
such high color contrasts when designing the pages that make up
Yupness?. The answer is very simple... I don't see all that
well. In fact, I am sitting about four inches from my computer
screen, which is probably close enough to absorb most of the radiation
from the monitor. I need something that is easy for me to see
when I am designing and/or updating my blog. In addition to my
visual challenges, I also have cerebral palsy (CP). Think of the
well known evangelist David Ring. He also has CP, just like me.
Because of CP, I don't have good use of my arms, hands, and most
importantly, my legs. Therefore, my hands have a tendency to
shake and tremor when I am doing complex tasks (like writing or
assembling model airplanes; which have to be kept rather simple); and I
also have trouble walking because of a deformity in my right foot that
causes it to turn inward (think of the curve in the letter "C", only
turn the letter around backwards), and thus makes me often walk on the
outside. That's very uncomfortable for me, therefore, I have to
wear a plastic brace in order to keep it as straight as possible, which
helps me walk better. I also have a hearing and a speech
disability; so I don't hear very well out of my left ear, and often
will use a battery powered amplifier, (which actually amplifies both
left and right ears). I have a speech disability, so I tend to
stutter, mainly when I am nervous and/or scared.
I not only enjoy blogging, but I play loads of computer and console
games, both new and old. I stick mainly to the softer side of
gaming, (sports, racing, card/board/table games, etc.), since most of
the newer games that are on the shelf now are full of violence,
profanity, and/or sexual innuendos), most of which turn my stomach
inside out. Not to mention that I have a wide taste for music,
which includes most anything Christian (including Southern Gospel,
Christian Rock and Christian Rap), some country, bluegrass, and even
some opera and classical music. My taste for TV is sort of the
same, though without cable or satellite, my choices are limited mainly
to sitcoms, detective and forensic cop shows (like Law and Order, and
CSI), and the older shows, like Baywatch, Knight Rider, and Quincy M.E.
Awesome shows, if you ask me.
Now, enough about me... I'm not the one that really deserves all
of the credit for this blog. If it wasn't for the blessings of
God; and His providing me a working computer, along with a decent
connection to the Internet, as well as the training needed to
proficiently use a computer (though I leave the inside guts to
professionals), I wouldn't be blogging today. And without Him in
my life as my Savior and my Heavenly Father, I would not only not be
alive, physically, I would not be alive spiritually. It is
through Him and Him alone that a Christian can be saved and know what
it really is to be free and have victory in Jesus! (That's one of
my favorite hymns to sing in church).
If you wish to contact me concerning my blog; (maybe you have a
complaint to make, or just want to say "Hey" and comment on something
you may have read on the home page), just scroll down the home page to
where it says "Contact Me". There you will find all of the
information you need to reach me and either share your comment for
posting consideration; or just to tell me that you like what you see on
the website. Thanks & Muchas Gracias! (I don't speak
that much Spanish, by the way. Neither do I Parlez Vous
Francais). (But I do enjoy good, greasy French Fries and a big,
fat double cheeseburger). (Smile).
